Composition
1 g of the drug contains:
birch tar – 100 mg
gum turpentine – 70 mg
sulfur – 100 mg
salicylic acid – 20 mg
zinc oxide – 100 mg
lysol – 60 mg
Description
Ointment from light gray to dark gray with a brown tint, creamy consistency, thick, with a specific odor.
APPLICATION
Method of administration and dosage
Before use, the ointment is stirred, since during storage, stratification of its components is possible. The drug is applied in a thin layer on the affected skin areas and 2-4 cm around them and rubbed lightly. It is not necessary to pre-remove scales and cut the hair. The affected areas are treated 1-2 times a day until the scales disappear, the course is 4-5 days. As a rule, after 7-10 days, hair growth begins on the affected areas.
After the completion of the course of treatment, a control microscopic examination of scrapings is carried out. If pathogens are found, treatment is continued.

Pharmacological properties
A drug with pronounced fungicidal, bactericidal and ectoparasitic properties.
Birch tar has an antiseptic, antiparasitic, local irritant, astringent and drying effect.
When sulfur comes into contact with moisture, alkalis and organic substances, sulfuric anhydride, hydrogen sulfide, oxygen and sulfuric alkalis are formed, which act keratoplastic and keratolytic, which is due to the antiparasitic and antimicrobial properties of sulfur.
Salicylic acid, when applied topically, irritates the skin and promotes the rejection of keratinized epithelial cells. Strengthens granulation on the surface of the wound, acts bactericidal, antitoxic, fungicidal.
Zinc oxide has an astringent, drying and disinfecting effect.
Lysol has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and insecticidal effects.
Indications
Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, rabbits, chickens with trichophytosis, eczema, dermatitis and other skin diseases, necrobacteriosis, hoof rot, sarcoptic mange (scabies).
