Composition:
1 tablet contains:
Praziquantel – 50.0 mg
Fenbendazole – 500.0 mg
Act:
Kaniquantel Plus affects the muscle innervation of parasites, causing their death. It is active against nematodes, cestodes and trematodes of dogs and cats at both sexually mature and ovocidal stages, as well as against protozoal infections.
Indications:
Used for the treatment and prevention of helminthiasis in dogs and cats caused by: toxocara canis, toxocara mistax, toxocaris leonina, uncinaria stenocephala, ancylostoma caninum, echinococcus granulosus, alveococcus multilocularis, multiceps multiceps.
Dosage and method of administration:
The tablets are administered to animals once inside a piece of meat, sausage, with minced meat, porridge or on the root of the tongue, preferably before morning feeding and without the use of laxatives. The drug is given in a dose of 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight. It is necessary to monitor the consumption of the drug. In case of refusal of food with an anthelmintic, caniquantel plus is administered in the form of an aqueous suspension using a syringe without a needle or catheter.
For cats:
1/2 tablet for 5 kg body weight
For dogs:
> 2 kg – 1/2 tablet
2-5 kg - 1/2 tablet
6-10 kg – 1 tablet
10-15 kg – 1.5 tablets
15-25 kg – 2 tablets
25 – 30 kg – 3 tablets
30 – 40 kg – 4 tablets
40-50 kg – 5 tablets
Destination scheme:
Kanikvantel Plus is used from 4 weeks of age to puppies and kittens a week before vaccination. For adult animals 3-4 times a year. If the diagnosis is established, deworming must be repeated after 14 days. It is advisable to additionally conduct scatological studies.
Security:
With the correct dosage, no side effects are observed. A dose that is three times the recommended dose does not cause side effects in dogs. Cats are more susceptible to drug overdose and may develop weakness, vomiting and diarrhea that go away quickly without medical attention. Safe for pregnant dogs and cats.
