A combination of sulfonamides and trimethoprim with long-term antimicrobial action.
Iodoform decomposes under the influence of light, air, tissue enzymes, microorganisms, releasing molecular iodine. Iodine has antimicrobial, repellent, deodorant, absorbent effect, promotes granulation and wound cleansing. Iodine albuminates are formed on the surface of the wound, which gives an astringent and anesthetic effect, relieves irritation of receptors.
Sulfaguanidine is a broad-spectrum sulfa drug. Indications
Treatment of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, polar foxes, minks, poultry (chickens, geese, ducks) for folliculitis, dermatitis, eczema, infected wounds, wet eczema, trophic ulcers, difficult healing wounds, inflammation of the external auditory canal, diaper rash of skin folds, after opening hematomas, abscesses, fibroids, boils, phlegmons caused by microorganisms sensitive to sulfaguanidine, trimethoprim and iodoform. Prevention in the postoperative period (after castration, removal of tumors, decornation, etc.).
Contraindications
Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of the drug. The drug is not compatible with ammonia, oxidizing agents and acids.
Method of administration and dosage
The drug is used externally after aseptic treatment of the affected skin area. The affected area and 2-3 cm around it are powdered and a bandage is applied. The treatment is carried out once a day until the wound is completely healed.
Cautions
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not smoke, eat or drink while working with the drug. After finishing work, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap.
