Composition and pharmacological properties.

As active ingredients it contains miconazole nitrate – 2% and enrofloxacin – 0.3%. The active components included in the composition of the drug provide a pronounced antibacterial and antifungal effect.
Miconazole nitrate has fungicidal activity against fungi: Candida spp., Aspergillus spp., Dimorphous fungi, Cryptococcus neoformans, Pittyrosporum spp., Torulopsisglabra and bacteriostatic activity against some gram-positive bacteria isolated in otitis media in dogs and cats. Enrofloxacin – a compound of the fluoroquinolone group has a wide spectrum of antibacterial and antimycoplasmic activity, inhibits the growth and development of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Streptococcus spp., Proteus spp., Stophylococcus spp., And Mycoplasma spp.

Indications for use.

For the treatment of acute and chronic otitis media of bacterial and fungal etiology in dogs and cats.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug. It is forbidden to use the drug for the treatment of otitis media with perforation of the tympanic membrane.

Doses and order of administration.

Before treatment, the auricles and the ear canal are cleaned of scabs and impurities with a swab moistened with Bars Forte ear drops, then 3-5 drops of the drug are instilled into each ear (for cats and small dogs – 3-4, medium dogs – 4 and large dogs – 5 drops), fold the auricle lengthwise and lightly massage its base. Processing is carried out 2 times a day for 5-7 days. If necessary, after a week’s break, the course of treatment is repeated.
Avoid skipping the administration of the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy.

Side effects.

When using the drug according to the instructions, side effects and complications are not observed. If the animal shakes its head after applying drops, the head should be fixed for several minutes to prevent splashing.
