The active substance accumulates not only in the sebaceous glands but also in the hair follicles, which increases the degree and quality of distribution of the drug on the surface: it spreads not only on the skin but also along the entire length of hair (well suited for long-haired dogs). Permethrin, which is part of the drug, has a pronounced water-repellent effect, so Advantix is ​​not washed off with water. Advantix is ​​the only drug that protects a dog from mosquitoes that can infect an animal with heartworm disease (heartworms). Imidacloprid, which is part of the drug is the most effective and fast-acting component that kills fleas, has an umbrella effect, ie destroys the larvae of parasites on litter and in animal habitats. Not absorbed into the blood, approved for use even in allergic / flea dermatitis and other skin lesions.
