Milprazon Dewormer for dogs over 5 kg and for small dogs and puppies up to 5kg (2 tablets)
Milprazon is a combined anthelmintic drug of nematicidal and cestocidal action. The active substances that are part of the drug determine its wide spectrum of anthelmintic action.
Composition: One tablet contains active ingredients:
Milbemycin oxime – 12.5 mg
Praziquantel 125 mg
Auxiliary components: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon and magnesium stearate, meat flavoring, yeast powder
All Milprazon tablets have a meaty taste that is attractive to animals.
Milprazon is prescribed for the treatment, deworming and prevention of diseases caused by both larval forms and sexually mature cestodes – Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp., Mesocestoides spp. and nematodes – Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Thelazia callipaeda; Angiostrongylus vasorum (reduces the intensity of infection), Crenosoma vulpis (reduces the intensity of infection), Dirofilaria immitis (prevention of the disease), incl. with nematodes, cestodes; combined nematodo-cestode invasions.
The drug is administered to dogs once during feeding with a small amount of food or injected forcibly onto the root of the tongue after feeding at a minimum therapeutic dose of 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per 1 kg of animal weight, based on:

A preliminary fasting diet and laxatives are not required before deworming.
For deworming dogs with infestation caused by Angiostrongylus vasorum, Milprazone tablets for dogs are used for therapeutic purposes four times with an interval of 7 days, for prophylaxis – every 4 weeks at a therapeutic dose.
For deworming dogs with an invasion caused by Thelazia callipaeda, the drug is used twice with an interval of 7 days.
In order to prevent dirofilariasis in regions unfavorable for the disease, the drug is used in the spring-summer-autumn period: before the beginning of summer mosquitoes and mosquitoes (carriers of the pathogen D. immitis) once, then once a month and the last time in the season 1 month after the end of summer insects. Before deworming, you should consult with your veterinarian to exclude the presence of microfilariae in the animal’s blood.
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation have not been identified.
Side effects:
Side effects and complications when using the drug according to the instructions, as a rule, are not observed. In some animals, lethargy, ataxia, muscle tremors, vomiting and / or diarrhea may be observed, in these cases, the drug is discontinued and the animal is prescribed symptomatic therapy.
In case of an overdose of the drug, some dogs may experience depression, salivation, muscle paresis, tremors and / or unsteady gait. These symptoms disappear spontaneously during the day, if necessary, the animal is prescribed symptomatic therapy.
Contraindications:
individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug (including history);
severe renal dysfunction;
severe liver dysfunction.
you should not use the drug in puppies under 2 weeks of age and weighing less than 0.5 kg.
Depleted and sick with infectious diseases animals are not subject to deworming.
Deworming of pregnant and lactating bitches, collie, bobtail and sheltie puppies, if necessary, is carried out under the supervision of a veterinarian.
